Mission
Help Korean tutors run their own teaching business, and help their students keep practicing between lessons.
For Korean tutors and their students
A website builder for Korean tutors who want to sell lessons under their own name, and an iOS app for practicing Korean out loud.

What we build
Rely less on tutoring marketplaces. Run your own site under your own name, pay less in fees on the students you bring in, and grow your teaching business beyond 1:1 lessons.

Daily Korean practice for beginners, built on a real teacher's curriculum. Each day has a short grammar lesson, then sentence building, vocabulary and speaking.

Our first customer
Nora has taught Korean online for more than three years, mostly to beginner and intermediate adults who want to speak with more confidence. She is our business partner and the first tutor on Lush Korean.

About
Help Korean tutors run their own teaching business, and help their students keep practicing between lessons.
A platform built only for Korean education, used by independent tutors and by schools.
We measure our work by how much learners and tutors improve.
We try new ways of teaching and new technology, and learn from what fails.
Tutors own their lessons and content, and we keep our promises to their students.

Roadmap
Our plan through 2027.
Nora's site opens for lesson booking and payment, and the learning app launches on the App Store.
The first recorded course goes on sale, and group classes run once or twice a month.
Teachers share lesson materials and assign homework to each student in the app.
Booking, payment and course sales become reusable modules, and work on the AI website builder begins.
The AI website builder launches. Korean tutors build their own sites in plain language and add the modules they need.
History
Nora starts teaching Korean online on the side. Three years later it is her full-time job.
We set out to build Nora her own teaching site and name the project Lush Korean.
Bart starts building the iOS app on Nora's curriculum.
We join Seneca HELIX's EWIL program in Toronto, Canada, to turn the project into a business.
lushkorean.com goes live as the company site, and Nora's site moves to nora.lushkorean.com.
